Prayers

I do not pray, because as a general rule I am not religious.  Spiritual, yes.  Believing in a higher power, yes.  But religious... no. 

This being said, last night I prayed.  A good friend of mine, Amanda, is in a tough spot.  Her mother is currently in a coma.  Here is the following information, provided by another of our friends to help answer some of the questions that people have been directiong towards Amanda.

Five days ago Amanda's mother was found unconscious and not breathing in her bed. she was rushed to the hospital but they were unable to get her breathing on her own in the ambulance. It is estimated that she went without oxygen for at least 10 min. She was put on a respirator and has remained on one and in a coma like state since she arrived at the hospital. Her body began to have seizures and continues to do so. Her family is still waiting for the test results on her brain activity to gauge how much damage might have occurred. She is still in critical condition but is on medication for the seizures and her vitals are stable but is still in a coma. The doctors are not sure what the cause of all this is.
